Volunteer with the Alliance!

The Alliance for the Arts always welcomes new volunteers!

Please see the following list for some of the areas where the Alliance needs the most help:

  • Reception – cover lunch breaks at the front desk - answer phones, help with mailings, data entry and other simple tasks. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Box Office – Answer phones and take orders for tickets for our various events.
  • Research Assistant – contacting local artists/agencies for the Alliance for the Arts Artists Directory. Knowledge of Excel database operations preferred, making phone calls and/or sending email. Phone and computer access available at the Alliance. Printed completion date scheduled for October 10, 2007.
  • Special Event Assistant – help with set up and other day of details with events such as Jazz Alliance, Art Royale, Walk Through the Arts, Angels of the Arts, Dance Alliance, and more!
  • Exhibition Opening Receptions – these opportunities arise at the beginning of every new fine art exhibit in our galleries. We host a reception in the artists’ honor and need assistance with food prep service and clean up, greeting and bar tenders. The time is generally on a Friday from 4:30 – 7:30 pm (event 5 – 7).
