Camp & Classes
The Alliance for the Arts believes that the artist in all of us deserves a place of its own to play. We offer this chance for children of all ages and adults.
Whether you’re just starting out, or you’ve studied your craft for years, the Alliance welcomes your excitement.
Each season fresh sessions of classes are offered in genres from jewelry making, glass fusing, life drawing, charcoals, acrylic painting, oils, pastels, theatre, dance and many more specializations. Check each August, December, March, and May for updated class schedules.
Don’t see something for you? Let us know what your interests! We welcome your suggestions and would love to help you find a “playground” for your creativity.
Because we are always growing and adjusting our education schedule to better meet the needs of our students, let us know if you are interested in teaching the next new class. Teachers should be experienced in their respective fields. Email Education Coordinator Amy Smith with your ideas!
Current Classes
Summer Camp:
Summer Camp is an action packed odyssey of the mind for children entering First through entering Sixth grades. Each week long session includes music, dance, theatre, literary and visual art times and culminates on Fridays with special performances for family and friends.
Be on the look out in February for the first announcements and opportunities to sign up. The Alliance for the Arts Summer Arts Camp only takes 105 each session, and it sells out early. Members of the Alliance for the Arts may register campers in February, and the general public may begin registration in March.
Summer Musical Theatre Camp:
Does your middle school student love performing and dream of being on stage? Then sign them up for a brand new week long intensive musical theatre camp where they will learn to be a triple threat--someone who is skilled in singing, acting, and dancing! Designed for students entering grades 7th, 8th and 9th. Curriculum will include how-to's on auditioning, group and solo singing, scene study, basic music theory, behind-the-scenes work, circus skills, various styles of dance, and much, much more. Students will also be able to see a live show at the Broadway Palm and participate in a question and answer discussion with the cast and production staff after the performance. Each week long camp will culminate in an exciting cabaret performance using materials from Broadway shows, featuring group musical numbers, scene work, and solo pieces all based on that week’s theme.
And for both Classes and Camp: Members always pay the lower price! Call 939-2787 for details.
