The sixth annual Art Royale, the signature fundraising event for the Alliance for the Arts will be held Saturday evening, November 22, 2008. It will again prove to be the most ingenious event of the year.
We are extending a call to the most cutting edge artists and performers in all mediums. Use your unbridled creativity and fusion of techniques to help create this one-of-a-kind event. This year’s theme LOST IN TRANSLATION invites you to use your unique creative vision to take our audience to the edge of their artistic comfort…
We seek individual and collaborative artists from an eclectic range of the arts including but not limited to: Performance, Design, Painting, Music, Instrumental and Voice, Fashion, Photography, Technology, Videography, Digital, Poetry, Sculpture, Theatre, Dance, Culinary, and Multimedia.
Meet with previous Art Royale artists, designers, and members of this year’s executive committee to learn more on how you can be a part of this year’s event.
Art Royale 2008
Artists Meeting
Thursday, May 1, 2008
5:30 to 7:30 PM at The Alliance for the Arts
If you are unable to attend, Artist Guidelines can be requested by e-mail (publicity@artinlee.org) or phone (239.939.2787), or stop by
the Alliance for the Arts at 10091 McGregor Boulevard.
Art Royale is about the viewer’s interaction with the artist and their art forms. This year the artists are invited to interpret and express their relationship with our theme. The Games People Play. Interpretation might be personal, artistic, cultural, architectural, or esoteric. Artists are encouraged to engage the viewer into their installation – as a participant, a captivated observer or in a merger with the artist mentally, philosophically, or physically.
