Art of the Quilt

September 5th - October 4th

Artists create in many different ways. For some it is with paint and canvas, while others form clay and steel. For members of Art Quilters Unlimited it is the patterns, colors, and textures of fiber and cloth that inspire creativity. In the upcoming exhibit “Art of the Quilt”, this contemporary group of art quilters and fiber artists will display recent works from some of their fifty-eight members. Art Quilters Unlimited is comprised of some the most experienced and talented artists in the area. They have exhibited extensively in juried art quilt competitions locally and throughout the country. They meet regularly and conduct workshops throughout the year to learn new techniques and collaborate. Quilts on display will range from colorful and abstract to impressively realistic in both two and three dimensional forms. All pieces will be for sale and additional smaller works will be available for purchase in the Alliance gift shop.
