Meet Our Dance Instructor
Bianca J Russell is an active fine arts professional in the Southwest Florida community. Bianca opened her business in 2010 in endeavour to tell a personal narrative through her work. Translating a variety of artistic skills through numerous solo and collaborative projects. . BJ has dedicated 20 years to the arts, first , submerging herself in performance art under the instruction of Sharon Hill of Colours School of the arts with focus in Dance and Dramatic arts. She continued her education at Lehigh Senior High School Center of the Arts where she held a roll as president the National Honors Society for Dance Arts. Soon after she would study under renown faculty at Hillsborough Community College and Dance Newamsterdam in New York City. It wasn’t until the past 5 years Bianca has added visual, vocal, and poetic arts to her repetoire . She is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to develop new skills and is constantly Exploring and discovering ways to marry these disciplines together. Bianca hopes to promote peace love and healing in all her works and happy to simply share what she loves most with the world.
Meet Our Visual Arts Instructor
The Alliance for the Arts is pleased to welcome Jerry Young as a visual arts instructor for our Summer Arts Camp! Jerry has been teaching art in Lee County for the past fifteen years and is the art instructor at Tanglewood Elementary. Prior to teaching art, he was also a fifth and sixth grade teacher. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys visiting antique shops and weekend art festivals. He is looking forward to working with our campers this summer!
Meet Our Visual Arts Instructor
Vania is a teacher in Lee County Public Schools. She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. Vania is certified in teaching English as a second language as well as teaching all curriculum to students ages 5 to 18. Her hobbies include drawing, painting, singing and creating sets for stage musicals. She loves spending summers teaching art with science integration and working with Family Initiative teaching art to students with Autism. Above all, she enjoys spending my time with her son, watching him grow and experiencing life at its best.
Meet Our Theatre Instructor
Tiffany has been the Theatre Instructor here for the last 3 years. She has worked for Theatre Conspiracy at The Alliance for the Arts for almost 20 years where she has had the opportunity to Act, Stage Manage, and (where she is usually found) run the light and sound boards. Tiffany has used her other creative skills at Florida Rep as their Camp Costume and set/prop Instructor for 2 summers. She also spent 2 summers out at Big Arts as their Arts and Crafts Instructors. Tiffany is very excited to be returning this Summer and cannot wait to bring 8 new shows to life with the talented kiddos and staff at The Alliance for The Arts!
