5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche

FUNNY AND BRILLIANT

You are cordially invited to attend the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein Annual Quiche Breakfast Meeting. The meeting will take place in 1956 at the newly renovated  meeting hall (now a bomb shelter) where this year’s prize-winning quiche will be selected and consumed.

The meeting hall is equipped with alarms just in case the Soviets attack, after all fear of the Cold War is running rampant. Irrational fear of homosexuality in any form is also running rampant, which makes this play a hilarious, almost cult-like experience.

Faced with the possibility of remaining in the shelter for an extended period of time, secrets and repressed desires start pouring out like last rite confessions, resulting in 5 lesbians in particular embracing who they really are.

Directed by Stephanie Davis

Starring:  Lucy Sundby, Shelley Sanders, Anna Grilli, Madelaine Weymouth, and Karen Goldberg.

Musical Score by Julian Sundby
