Family Art Labs (October 2019)

Make creativity part of your family routine the 4th Saturday of each month during Family Art Lab! Drop in for free, hands-on family fun from 10 a.m. to noon. Explore something new every month like art making, gallery activities, games and more – all inspired by artworks on view in the gallery, famous artists, national holidays and artistic traditions around the world. Come ready to imagine and create! After the fun, peruse local produce and products at our GreenMarket.

This month, celebrate our Dia de los Muertoes Exhibit by painting sugar skulls on small flower pots and planters! Plants will make great hair or fancy hats.

About Day of the Dead: In many parts of Mexico, South America and the United States, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a time to remember and celebrate the lives of friends and family. More about reveling life than remembering death, this unique day encourages us to connect with loved ones while reflecting on the ties that bind the past to present.
