Are you working on a film to submit to Short of the Fort? Join us for an afternoon of insight in our Bloom & Wallace Digital Arts Lab with David C. Beaty sharing tips and tricks.
Emmy-Award winning television producer and cinematographer David C. Beaty is a former broadcast journalist, producer and filmmaker. His career in non-fiction television and documentary spans 25+ years with production company Dreamtime Entertainment Digital. Career highlights include national programing on Travel Channel, History Channel, and PBS with the WWII Foundation.

David’s Achievements in both documentary and entertainment programs:Emmy Award for camera on The Travel Channel’s, “Waters Edge Bahamas”, Emmy Award for editing of the PBS documentary, “Children of the Fourth World”. International Monitor Award for “Uncommon Friends of the 20th Century”. Cable Ace nomination for “Wildlife Encounters in Alaska with Ali McGraw”. Major network programming includes Travel Channel’s “Freeze Frame” series and, History Channel’s “Fireboats of 9/11” and “The Nazi Plan to Bomb New York”, Emmy nominated for “Pope John Paul: A Saint for Our Times” on PBS and in 2008 the Emmy-Winning docu “Under the Sea With Al Giddings”. Dave Co-produced the 2015 bio-epic “Queen of Swing” for PBS. Recent national productions include the WWII Foundation’s national Public Television film’s “D-Day at Pointe Du Hoc, “The Portillo Expedition; Mystery at Bougainville.”, “First To Fight : Marines In The Pacific War”, “Rommel, The Soldier, His Son, and Hitler”, “Surrender On The USS Missouri”, “Merrill’s Marauders”,  “Enterprise, The Jack Taylor Story”, in 2023 “Navy Seabees On Iwo Jima” and in 2024 “A Final Landing on Iwo Jima”.
