Family Art Labs ( January 2020)

Make creativity part of your family routine the 4th Saturday of each month during Family Art Lab! Drop in for free, hands-on family fun from 10 a.m. to noon. Explore something new every month like art making, gallery activities, games and more – all inspired by artworks on view in the gallery, famous artists, national holidays and artistic traditions around the world. Come ready to imagine and create! After the fun, peruse local produce and products at our GreenMarket.

This month’s project is wax resist paintings. Learn about different types of art materials while you paint and draw your one of a kind masterpiece! Artists will learn how draw using layers of cold wax and then layer their colors with black tempera paint to make original textures and dramatic compositions. Don’t miss it!

Recommended for ages five and older, but all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
