Musical Theatre Intensive Camp: Broadway Palm Season Guide

This camp is for students who are looking to pursue a career in the performing arts.  Actors will be pushed to perform at the peak of their abilities with advanced part singing, partner dancing, and a variety of scene work based on Broadway Palm’s 2017/2018 season including Pippin, Chicago, Mamma Mia, My Fair Lady, Ring of Fire, and Annie! Students will dive into the history of musical theatre and become familiar with each show – learning historical context and how to audition for varying genres.  Students will also attend a performance of Annie followed by a question and answer session with the cast. Professional actors from Broadway Palm will work with students one on one on audition technique, musical theatre history, music theory, vocal technique and style and a variety of dance forms. The final performance on the Broadway Palm stage will feature each student in a role from our previous season.

• For grades 7 – 12
• Member registration opens Feb. 12
• Non-member registration opens Feb. 26
• Final performances take place on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
• Camp is held at Broadway Palm’s rehearsal space at 1400 Colonial Boulevard, Suite 23, Fort Myers, FL 33907 in the Royal Palm Plaza
