Mutual Thoughts: Connecting through Poetry and Song Lyrics (ages 14+)
Often, we hear from friends or family, “You should write that down,” whether in poem or even a song, it can be difficult to know how to get started or know when to finish. In each session we will embark on different approaches to writing poetry or song lyrics. Participants will engage in writing exercises about various topics, while learning techniques to get the most from their writing. Also, participants will be able to share their personal work. Techniques will be shared to help when a writer feels stuck and searching for direction. Using the correct combination of words can unlock brilliance untapped.
- Journal or notebook
- Writing utensil (pen, pencil, etc.)
