Sketch Pad Drawing (Ages 18+)
Using a sketch pad allows artists to draw from their immediate experiences. Like a written diary, the sketches depict objects, people, feelings, ideas, etc. These sketches can later be developed and expanded into a more defined drawing or painting. It’s what DaVinci, Picasso, and other great artists have done before they decided how to complete their great works.
Workshop participants will use a special tool called QuickKomp Artist’s Drawing tool. It helps to render drawings with precision and accuracy resulting in works that are in proportion and true-to-life. The proportion allows for drawing the sizes of objects in the correct relationship to other objects in a composition. Participants will also study one point, two point, and three point perspective. The technique of suggestion depth by shortening the receding lines and the values of light and dark in drawing will be covered.
