SoCo Second Saturdays
Paris. London. New York. Fort Myers.
It all happens south of Colonial now.
Welcome to southwest Florida’s newest arts and cultural district!
The SoCo cultural district is a burgeoning partnership of arts, cultural and business organizations bordered by Colonial and McGregor boulevards. SoCo, which is short for “south of Colonial,” was originally introduced in the 1990s as a bohemian village of upcoming artists. Today, SoCo is being reestablished as the southwest Florida’s newest arts and cultural district.
Occurring every Second Saturday of the month between the hours of 5 p.m. and extending through the night, SoCo Second Saturday features scheduled performances, talks, short plays, open houses, artist demonstrations, gallery openings, wine tastings and other activities. Visitors can shop, dine, and explore local art spaces.
April 8 SoCo details at the Alliance:
Artists from the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild will demo in the main gallery. Over the past 39 years, the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild has become a well-known dynamic and evolving organization of local artisans, craftsmen and craftswomen. Members combine old world craftsmanship with contemporary techniques to produce unique works of art.
