SoCo Second Saturdays

SoCo Second Saturdays

Paris. London. New York. Fort Myers.
It all happens south of Colonial now.

Welcome to southwest Florida’s newest arts and cultural district!

Occurring every Second Saturday of the month between the hours of 5 p.m. and extending through the night, SoCo Second Saturday features scheduled performances, talks, short plays, open houses, artist demonstrations, gallery openings, wine tastings and other activities. Visitors can shop, dine, and explore local art spaces. With exciting and unique offerings around every corner, SoCo Second Saturdays celebrate the arts year-round, rain or shine.

Saturday, May 13 from  5 – 8 p.m.

FREE ART! Come meet Pushing Boundaries exhibiting artists Pamela Richardson and Sally Dutko as they demo in the main gallery. Learn about pattern-making on cloth including shibori, dischrage and painting samples. Carol Holsopple will highlight fused fiber techniques.

Join us in our theatre at 8 p.m. for NOLI TIMERE (Don’t Be Afraid) by Jared Michael Delaney. The play tells the story of a newly-ordained priest and his sister who are made to confront something from their past that neither is expecting when a strange man knocks on the door of the rectory late one night. A confrontation occurs that leads them both into a frightening world that may, in fact, just be our own. Click here to purchase tickets.

About the SoCo Cultural District

The SoCo cultural district is a burgeoning partnership of arts, cultural and business organizations bordered by Colonial and McGregor boulevards. SoCo, which is short for “south of Colonial,” was originally introduced in the 1990s as a bohemian village of upcoming artists. Today, SoCo is being reestablished as the southwest Florida’s newest arts and cultural district.
