  • BIGARTS Presents: In The Night

    Entries for this exhibit will relate to anything nocturnal, whether spooky, splendid, or something in between. Work may be in any medium, including sculpture, on the subject of the artist’s choosing, but the work must reflect or evoke the nighttime. This show is truly about night, not the lead-up: No sunsets, please. The exhibit is a juried show open to any artist. Exhibiting October 26 –November 26, 2016. Deadline: September 29, 2016.

  • 8th All-Media Juried biennial

    All artists residing in the state of Florida are invited to submit entries for the Art and Culture Center’s 8th All-Media Juried Biennial. Original paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, photography, video, computer-generated images, performance, and site-specific installations will be considered. Deadline: September 30, 2016.

  • 7th Annual Paint the Beach En Plein Air Festival

    Paint the Beach Plein Air Festival invites artists from across the country to come and experience all Fort Myers beach has to offer and create artwork of the environs. During the event, the public is invited to observe this challenging form of open air painting as artists compete in a three-day art competition throughout Fort Myers Beach.   • 30th Annual Materials: Hard + Soft Contemporary Craft Exhibition

    This exhibition celebrates the evolving field of contemporary craft and the innovation of artists who push the boundaries of their chosen media. Recognized as one of the premier craft exhibitions in the United States, this year we are thrilled to be partnering with the National Endowment for the Arts to expand this national exhibition to now include international artists.   • The City of Sunny Isles Beach is Seeking Artists for Sunny isles beach Jazz Fest Poster Contest

    This contest is open to all ages. Professionals and amateurs welcome. Residents of Sunny Isles Beach and non-residents welcome. There is a limit of 2 entries per person. The submission must be a painting using watercolors, acrylics, or oil based paints. Deadline: October 1, 2016

    Friends of Rookery Bay and the United Arts Council of Collier County are seeking submissions for their annual painting exhibit at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center in Naples, Florida. Deadline: October 5, 2016

  • 2017 DeLand Sculpture Walk

    All sculptors are invited to participate in the 2017 DeLand Sculpture Walk Exhibition, January 2017 through December 2017. Organized and presented by the Museum of Art – DeLand with the support of the City of DeLand, this exhibition offers established and emerging artists the opportunity to display their sculptures throughout the heart of beautiful downtown DeLand, Florida.   • River District - Call to Artists, Musicians & Specialty Food Vendors

    Seeking Artists, Musicians and Specialty Food Vendors for the first ever, Creative ARTs Market (a project of the River District Alliance) that will occur on November 11, 12, 13 and December 9, 10, 11 of 2016 in the River District. This white tent market will be set up on Hendry Street between Bay Street and Edwards Drive.

  • Cela Tega Conference on Resilience & Adaption Planning for Sea Level Rise & Climate Change in the Estero Bay Region

    Florida Gulf Coast University and The Estero Bay Agency on Bay Management presents a two day conference on December 12 & 13, 2016 at the Cohen Center Ballroom, Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers Florida. Artists working in all mediums are encouraged to enter this occasional art exhibition. Any artists that have the Estero Bay region as their palette are eligible to submit entries. Entries that have a connection to climate change, resiliency, sea level rise and adaptation are especially encouraged. Deadline: December 1.

  • BIG ARTS Presents: The Itty Bitty Art Exhibit

    Miniature art is most often extremely detailed work, exquisite in color with a strength of composition which can more than compete with larger paintings. This juried exhibit of little treasures at BIGARTS will feature tiny 2-D works varying in medium and subject matter. Works may not exceed size limitations, including the frame. No sculptures will be accepted. Exibiting February 8 – March 18, 2017. Deadline: January 12, 2017.

  • BIG ARTS Presents: After Rauschenberg

    The amazing diversity and innovation of Robert Rauschenberg’s oeuvre will be the basis for entries in this exhibit. Rauschenberg experimented with nontraditional methods and materials in his paintings, sculpture, combines and more, yet he also displayed rigor and concern for formal painting. Rauschenberg’s remarkable creativity will be the inspiration for entries to this juried exhibit. Exhibiting March 22 –April 29, 2017: Deadline: February 23, 2017.
