Alexia Lounds

Alexia Fuentes-Lounds graduated from Cleveland State University and is a full time artist/art educator for Collier County Public Schools. After excelling in the Cleveland art scene as a muralist and art educator, she moved to Fort Myers Florida to teach the future of art. Currently, Alexia teaches at Highlands Elementary and continues to work with organizations such as, the Alliance for the Arts, Painting with a Twist, United Arts Council, and The Center For the Arts Bonita Springs.   Her students are taught the fundamentals of 2D and 3D design yet, encouraged to challenge themselves with endless possibilities.

Her style of art is a surreal form of creativity that narrates emotion through lines and shapes. While using the basic principles of art, she bends reality into ambiguous scenes that invites the viewer to explore their own perception and emotions.

Alexia also makes her art instruction accessible through a You Tube channel called “Electronic Art Room”, where children and adults can practice basic concepts at home.  Being an artist and art educator gives her a purpose to build the future of American culture and she is thrilled to be a part of Alliance of the arts instructional team.
