Marilyn Hedlund

Marilyn joined the art world via the Peter Quigley sketch and watercolor groups on Pine Island in the early 1990’s.  Her impressionist style with acrylics began in Gale Bennett’s classes in Southwest Florida and grew in France at his 2001 Art Study Giverny summer session.  She studied under Lucie Macherowski since 2003 at the Alliance For The Arts in Fort Myers where she has been a long-time member.  She began teaching the Fine Art Acrylics class in 2016.  Other active memberships include Pine Island Art Association and Cape Coral Art League.  She has been a frequent ribbon winner at local juried art shows.  Her paintings can be seen at Crossed Palms Gallery in Bokeelia, FL and at her home studio.  Her support group includes family, friends, teachers and fellow artists; but her greatest technical and emotional support comes from Bob, her husband and dance partner for more than 50 years.
